About Charlie Belle

Charlie began singing and playing piano at age 3 and since then progressed to violin, drums, and guitar. She began vocally recording at Wombat Road Studios in Victoria, Australia at the age of 17. Since then, Charlie recorded at a Melbourne based Studio while she was signed to DEAD Famous Artists. As part of this company, Charlie co-wrote and recorded songs which were put forward for a Lionsgate Film. Charlie gives a huge amount of credit to Lee Forster and his brother Duane for being an enormous musical support and influence throughout Charlie's adult life; recording, encouraging and promoting her as a musician.

In her mid 20s, Charlie was part of a Corporate and Wedding Band called Citrus. In this 4 piece band, she played keyboard and sang some lead and back-up vocals. They travelled regularly and extensively throughout Victoria, Australia. On one occasion, they were flown to Bali to perform at a Ray White (Real Estate) event.

Some other highlights of Charlie's musical career include being a guest vocalist at Palazzo Versace (Gold Coast) at the launch of Amy Lee’s Mission Beautiful Australia Magazine Gala Event. She has been involved in film clips featuring internationally acclaimed 8 Ball Aitkin (as a banjo player) and Lecia Louise (as a drummer). Charlie has been lucky enough to perform with Lecia Louise as guest guitarist and vocalist in Brisbane, Australia. She has also done duo shows with internationally acclaimed, Darren Scott in Toowoomba and the Gold Coast.

Charlie regularly performs with Chris Amedee in a duo known as the ‘Smith Twins’. In this duo, she plays drums and sings back-up vocals. The 'Smith Twins' play at venues in Brisbane City and surrounds. They have been known to travel as far as Goondiwindi for shows too!

One of the most rewarding experiences Charlie has had was winning a Triple J Unearthed Competition in the category of ‘Original Pop Music Composition’ with 'Here I Stand'. The winnings helped fund her ongoing love of being able to write and record new music.

Charlie looks forward to continuing to share her musical journey with you.
